I have only good things to say about the Goodyear...

I have only good things to say about the Goodyear Triple Treads that I put on my allroad. I've had them on for 40k miles and through 28" of snow. They have been wonderful.

Any European plate would fit, and that is exactly what it is for. The insert is held on by some really tough goop, but if you work at it it will come off.

My headlight has kicked the bucket.

Burnt out HID light. Turned purple yesterday and today it doesn't seem to turn on at all. From what I recall you have to replace the entire headlight (housing and all). Is that correct?

If money isn't an issue, get which ever you like more. But as others have said be aware of the issues with allroads. I've had mine for about 60k miles now. Turbos, torque converters, air springs, etc...

They usually go hand in hand. First TC fails, then the tranny starts slipping. Mine has been slipping for about 6 months now, but only in reverse still. I have 115k miles now. Replaced the TC at 85k.

I'm in Denver and got the tripletreds about 2 years ago. They've been great, got about 35k miles on them so far and they are still working wonderfully.
