Well it was nice hearing from the "old-timers"

I've just posted on the R8 forum. While picking up my daughter from soccer practice a R8 cruised into the parking lot.

First time I've seen one in the flesh, so to speak.

Haven't posted in a few years. Any of the original owners still here?

I had a Mk 1 180, no spoiler, then my current 225. It's got 180,000 plus miles on it now and still chugging.

Codes to reveal true coolant temperature

You press "Up Arrow" and "Recirc" button together.
Temperature display changes to 1C
Raise the temperature to 49C
Press "Recirc" again...and the display shows the true temperature of the coolant....

I can open and close the glove box OK.

So, your remedy is to somehow replace the "missing" top post with a machine screw screwed into the top box surround, yes? And the head of the machine screw will act as the top pivot.

Glove box latch flew off...help, please!

My daughter opened the glove box and the latch sprung off! There doesn't appear to be any difficulty in putting it back in place, but I'm damned if I can make it work.

Any tips, tricks or fixes?
