No it does not make any sound when the car is moving. It makes sound only when the car is taking a sharp turn ( like U turn ) at a slow speed.

The car has almost 59,000 miles now.

Thank You very much for sending the instructions. I was able to replace the part. The part only costed me $32.00 including shipping and handling from Audi Dealership.
