Heh...it is tempting...

...but ultimately I didn't want to open the modding can of worms. If I had more cash I'd keep the car and go stage III+ or more and make it a weekend car...and get something else a bit more mundane...

335xi sedan is 19/27 for the 6MT, says BMW...

...beats the 17/24 my car's rated for. People on the e90 forums have seen ~29 mpg on the highway for extended drives...I've done 25-26 mpg in the best case while driving 65-70 on long 55 mph roads....
