Just had the same piston and ring replacement done on ours. Audi offered the same resolution on the warranty extension but I am trying to get an allowance to move to an S5 to get away from this motor...

Seems Audi finally agreed that the car was burning too much oil so they decided to replace pistons and rings on all four cylinders. Now I have a car that was broken in with one set...

And a delayed but appropriate update. Took it into the dealer again complaining of oil consumption. They now have a TSB that amounts to replacing the front crankshaft seal and the crankcase pressure...

I'm seriously looking at the Stasis upgrade that can be had from my dealer. It almost triples torque at 800rpm. That should solve everything. They want about $1650 for it.
