The specs on the site list the boat at 3,200 lbs dry

There's no way the trailer you're using is only 400lbs. Something seems to be off with your numbers.

Then again, if you've had the rig weighed I apologize.

I'm not speaking from experience or anything but...

perhaps chosing an offshore powerboat motor (think BIG block V8 supercharged) could be an option.

I don't think there is as much electronic trickery on the boat motor, from the factory it's...

You've got a 20 foot boat that weighs 3,600lbs with a trailer?

What brand of boat is it?

That's pretty darn light for a 20 footer.

You're not factoring in the dry weight of the trailer without the boat.

Check out my setup.

My boat comes in about 3,200lbs plus roughly the same amount of fuel not as much gear but add in the...

Ranger is rated for up to 6k lbs properly equipped

An Auto transmission 4x4 such as mine can pull 5,600.

The boat and trailer and fuel ect. comes in around 4,500.

Check the hitch on your truck

For dead weight towing I'm guessing it says a max tongue weight of 500lbs or something. With thr car forwards or backwards I'm not sure if you can keep your tongue weight below that figure, or...

Be mindful of your trailer tongue weights

From the look of the trailer a significant portion of the car's weight will be carried buy your truck's hitch.

Your tongue weight may push you into needing some sort of weight distribution setup...

I was thinking of going with the XSi but...

Some of the features on the XXd cameras are starting to win me over.

But they come at a substantive cost penalty.

Still age old question, new body or new glass??

It's so sad that the avant needs to be certified independently from the sedan

I can understand seperate crash testing. But why does each engine and transmission option need testing in each body configuration of the same chassis.

It's lame the 3.2l v6 is avail in manual in...

yeah, I heard about the valve work you described and my eyes popped out of their sockets

Visited Rev cycles downtown and when I wasn't oogling the Lamborghinis in their showroom I made a point of asking about the valve adjustment work.

Still $500 every 12k kms ain't cheap but as you...

The service interval on the Desmo valves has been extended to 12k kms

on the new Monsters.

And it's about a $500 job. Not cheap, but certainly not as bad as the older models were.

Anyone here know anything about Ducati?

I'm in the motorcycle market and am thinking of picking up a new Monster 696.

Anyone have any thoughts about this bike or the brand in general?

Thx,

Perhaps I was too broad in my original assessment of stupid

But in this case, it is stupid and bragging about it is even more so.

Driving 100kph or faster on snow without the external conditions of heavy traffic and poor lane discipline ect. is potentially...

Shrug, you're bragging about how fast you're driving in the right snow covered lane

Likely passing on the right as well I'd gather which is also not a smart thing to do.

As I said, just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD.

But hey it's your car and your...

That and he said the right lane, which is the busiest lane on the highway with on and offramp traffic.

Drive according to conditions (which also takes into account how badly others are handling...

That's pretty stupid at the best of times.
