ONCE AGAIN: PLEASE EVERYBODY COME TO THE AUDI CLUB MEETING JAN 16TH

Some extra stuff
My suggestion was to start small. Do little events, like lunch GTG on weekends, dinner GTG on weeknights. Places like Jasons Deli sprung to mind, as its easy to get to, fairly cheap, totally casual, etc.
There was an idea to do a ski day, but personally I don't think it would work that well. Skiers/snowboarders can be fickle people, particularly on a powder day (no friends on a powder day). The financial commitment to attend a day like that is not cheap ($60 for lift ticket). And I doubt the skill level of everyone would be the same.
Also, I would like to see one "real" audi club event prior to the Miller HPDE. My suggestion was a tech session on detailing your car.
Then there was a lot of banter about the issues with the RMC board. A few questions about the Miller HPDE. Talk about getting more local sponsors, either more dealerships, more local shops, etc. Discussion about people running for the board (I'm personally not eligible for it).
Last major thing was improving the communication within the Utah region. The RMC website is very sparse and lacks much in the way of information. So maybe setting up our own. Also, instead of using email blasts to reach out to members (which apparently only 30 out of 150 people read) use snail mail postcards. And maybe do that business card thing, where when we see an Audi, stick a business card on it (similar to what you did at Streamline).
Had at least 15 people show up to the meeting. And Clarks cookies kicked ***.

Yup. Just not quite enough interest to start our own group.
I personally don't have any beef and don't really see the need for our own chapter. It was brought up that lack of communication was not just with the UT folks, but the CO people are having the same problem.
I'd actually be interested in running for a board position next year after my business gets a bit more established and a few other issues get behind me.

Nord, I think this would help a bit.
www.germanvermin.com.
These guys are fun to drive with. We could just feed off of the interest they generate.
There is a meet at the Starbucks on 4th south this weekend, possibly a drive.
