It feels like they mailed in the comparison to the BMW 550 M sport. Unless Europe gets a much more hard core version, most every other review blasts it for its disconnected handling feel.

Also, this really shouldn't matter to anyone but the numbers geek in me is still curious how real the HP bump is. So below are the higher end acceleration numbers for the 2016 S7. The numbers for the pre-facelifted S7 from the same magazine - auto motor und sport - are shown in parenthesis. The numbers for the pre-facelifed S6 are in brackets.

0-160 10.4 (10.1) [10.0]
0-180 13.1 (12.6) [12.5]
0-200 16.6 (15.9) [15.7]

Am I reading this correctly - from that table it looks like acceleration figures got worse after the facelift?

I wasn't aware anyone had a full measured road test yet.

I'd take these numbers with a huge grain of salt!

You are reading correctly. The pre-facelifted S6 and S7 test out the way you would expect with the weight difference. Perhaps weather conditions were unfavorable when they tested the new car? Here is the link for the 2016 S7 acceleration data:

I am having a hard time believing there is a weight gain in the new car and those performance figures don't make sense.

p.s. how did you get a translation? the article I looked at was in german....

It is looking to me like the 2016 S7 is actually a little big lighter than the 2015:

2015 Audi S7 4,508 lbs curb weight
2016 Audi S7 4,437 empty car test weight, 4,475 empty car, manufacturers weight
