Default Strange comparison: S6 vs. A7 vs. Macan

Long story short: Had an A7, but was looking for something a little more sporty and with 3 seats in the back (my 2012 A7 had only 2 seats). Wound up pre-ordering a Porsche Macan S 7mo ago - I took delivery 2 months ago. Surprisingly, the Porsche feels slower than my A7 does. It handles better, and since I custom spec-ed it, it has all the features I was looking for. However, I find myself missing the acceleration (especially off-the-line). I was expect the Macan S to be faster than the A7 (same weight, 340hp rear-wheel-drive biased PDK vs. 310hp 8-speed auto).

I'd probably take too much of a loss to get rid of the car now and I guess the mistake was pre-ordering the car without a test drive, but I'm considering my options for the future. The S7 is out because of the 2 rear seats, but I'm wondering if the S6 would be a good fit? Has anyone test drove the S6 in comparison with the A7 (or even the Macan)? Looking for input here. You can't beat the brand prestige of a Porsche, but I definitely miss the feel of the acceleration.

I was under the impression that all macans were awd. never driven any model macan yet, but I can tell you that the 4.0T is night and day difference to the 3.0T motor. ive driven the 3.0T in the A7, A6, S4, A8, etc. etc. I still have a S4 with the same motor and the V8 just seems like it always has power on tap, every gear. you might not lose out too much if you sell your macan as they are selling like hot cakes right now. when the cayenne V6 was hot, people drove them for a year and sold them for almost msrp.

I was going to trade my S6 in on a Macan Turbo but just decided on a Cayenne GTS since I really need more cargo room. I was impressed with the Macan Turbo drive and preferred it over my S6. I did not drive the Macan S. I didn't notice any lag with either the Macan Turbo or Cayenne GTS which is a plus over the S6.

How did acceleration, 0-30, 0-60, etc.. compare on the S6 vs. the Macan Turbo?

All Macan's are AWD. I listed my Macan a couple of places, but no bites yet (even though the waiting list at the local dealerships is 6-12mo).

The S6 feels faster but they feel very close and the Macan Turbo did not seem to have the same lag as the S6 so at times it feels faster.
