Radar detectors and accident avoidance systems

In all seriousness, I would greatly appreciate a picture of your install - I've had my V1 clipped to the visor for ages and just wrote visor usage off as the cost of doing business. My eyes are less tolerant of the glare these days and I've been thinking that I'll need to do things differently in the S6.
TIA!

My Max had never falsed when it was in the S6. It went off when my wife was next to me. It is amazing how sensitive the Max is yet can still shut out practically all falses around you.

I would love to see a pic of HyperS4's V1 positioning on the windshield. I tried and tried, and could not get it to work except if the V1 was pushed to one side or the other and the result was the visors covering the detector from view if down.
I was at the car stereo shop this morning and they said they had installed an Escort 9500ci on a new S8 a few weeks ago, and the side assist and/or cruise control was making it go haywire.
They had to disable some of the band coverage in the Escort to fix the issue.

As for the side assist, the only thing you need to disable in the V1 is "pop" detection. Other than that you dont need to disable any full bands.

Im at work right now but when I get out to the car Ill take a pic. It is up by the visor but I never use my visor so blocking is never an issue.

No worries. I kinda knew that the only way to get it to work was to put it to the side slightly where the visor can cover it up from view. I'm short and like to sit low so I use the visor a lot.
Thanks for the clarification on POP. I'll be sure to keep that in mind when we install my Bel STiR Plus in a couple weeks.

I have the 9500ci installed without these issues. Occasionally I get a K band alert from other cars adaptive cruise or side assist. My first radar/laser system and it's saved me many times already. Love the stealth install too.
