Wish I would have done that - it was functioning perfectly, just had a broken glass cover.

Appraiser from the trucking company's insurance came out today. He's guessing they're looking at around $10k in damage. New headlight, new hood, new fender, headlight washer assembly, etc. The bumper cover may actually be repairable; the Xpel seems to have taken the brunt of the hit.
I'd much rather have parts removed and replaced; any time I've seen a body shop try to paint something "in place" in ends up looking terrible. I took my S4 to a place three times and they STILL couldn't get it right: dust/hair/debris in the paint, drips, etc. Granted, they could just have been a terrible body shop.
My dealership doesn't have a body shop, so I have to take it to one that's a good 60 miles away (Ira Audi Collision Repair in Danvers, MA). They are at least a "certified aluminum repair specialist" according to the AUdi site.
Now I'm jealous of my wife's shiny new Q5 we picked up last night...

Sorry about the damage and whatever amount of hassle you may still be in for. After years of working on restorations / owning various makes of vehicles and dealing with numerous Body Shops I have to borrow from the great Ron Swanson (substitute Body Shop owner for Contractor) -
"I don’t want to paint with a broad brush here, but every single Contractor in the world is a miserable, incompetent thief."
I know there is a fraction of a percent of honest, true Craftsman in every trade or field but damn if they are not getting harder and harder to find.
