This is my problem. I guess if you have a 2014 then you have to settle for a sub standard car. Not cool and I highly doubt I will ever buy another Audi after this experience.

I believe, based on the build date, some 2014's fall under the same issue. I'd push the dealer to install the TSB - I know it has helped others with a 2014 MY S6 with the same issue. Escalate to AoA if needed.

ECU SW part #4G0906014E (found on MOST 2014s) is not simply a later version of ECU SW part #4G0906014B (found on ALL 2013s). These revisions are actually used to match up SW with different hardware. So a "B" SW part cannot be used with the later ECU HW, and vice versa.
I believe SOME early 2014s may have had the 4G0906014B SW, and thus could have the TSB update done. But most 2014s have the 4G0906014E part, and thus, unfortunately, what the dealers are telling you is true: there simply is no update available (yet).
It is unfortunate that this is such a PITA. Here's my guess at what happened if anyone cares: it's not uncommon for a new firmware release to address a specific issue to also include other minor tweaks to other things that didn't warrant a release on their own. I'd suspect this is what happened here: someone noticed an improvement/fix he could make to address the lag, added it to the firmware codebase at AG HQ, and there it sat until this EPC light issue came up. Another fix was put in the codebase to address the EPC light, and actually got released (because it was deemed "serious" enough), along with the lag fix. Since no version of firmware was ever released with JUST the lag fix, dealers have no clue this EPC light fix also improves the lag issue. And for 2014 4G0906014E guys, there is no EPC issue, so while this lag fix may have been rolled into the codebase for your cars, there hasn't been any OTHER issues big enough to warrant a new revision. So it sits on some engineer's PC in Germany, waiting for a good reason to roll it out.
With all of this in mind, my only advice is to try to escalate either through your dealer or AoA. I'd really play up the danger angle. Try to get a regional rep involved. The fix "exists"; it's just convincing someone that this is serious enough to get a message back to the engineers that it warrants releasing on it's own. Unfortunately, though, as I found out with the steering update, a few people calling AoA and speaking to a rep isn't likely to be enough. I'd guess what actually will happen is that 5-6 months from now, there'll be an update for an unrelated issue on the 2014s, and all of a sudden you'll find the lag gone.

I pushed it. I escalated it. The AoA rep drove it. TSB doesn't apply to my car they say.

So it appears that the throttle lag can get corrected with the TSB soft update on the 2013 S6, but not for the 2014,2015 S6 & 2016 S6 probably has the same throttle lag?

I haven't heard of anyone having the issue in 2015 models. The 2016 tranny and ECU is being updated, so I'd assume the issue would be resolved. The issue was in 2013 models and some 2014 models that shipped with the older ECU software.

I have not seen a confirmation that the 2015 S6 was cured of this curse. My B5 S4 tiptronic also had throttle lag (not just turbo lag), which is why I sold it in 2003.

Just an update after driving the car for a few days past the ECM update. I can now confirm that the car drives normally, that the lag is gone and it is lots of fun to drive and very responsive. I was finally so happy with the car so instead of trying to get rid of it I decided to keep it and tune it. After it came out of the APR shop the car was unbelievable and a dream come true. Neck snapping acceleration power and torque with no lag. Wow. I am happily KEEPING MY S6 now and find any excuse to go drive it
