Betting my friend in 1/4mi vs 550i
I'm planning on racing my friends 2016 BMW 550i with X-drive in a 1/4 mi. The race may or may not be for money. So generally I feel like my stock 2014 S6 has an edge due to Audi generally underrating their numbers as well as the fact that BMW overrates theirs. I don't know if the BMW has launch control but I'm assuming it does not. I haven't researched all the numbers but apparently he has a 4.3 liter engine and slightly more HP on paper. What do you guys think? Do I have an edge against him? Im looking for unbiased answers but that may be tough to come by on here.

It should be very close.
Depends on if his has launch control and weight of both cars and drivers.
Stock S6 should realistically do 12.3-12.6.
Measured weight of a heavily optioned 2015 S6 with about 5 gallons of gas and no driver is 4350 lbs. BMW curb weight spec say 4431 lbs. but there are so many slight variants to the actual meaning of curb weight it cannot be taken as a true real measured weight until you get to the track and put it on the scale.
Should be interesting. Definitely let us know the outcome either way.

S6 wins
It isn't just engine horsepower. It's also about the transmission and drivetrain. S6 with dual sequential gearbox and self-locking centre differential is a fair way ahead of a BMW 550i xDrive, more so if you have Sport differential.
But it is also about the nature of the cars, they are quite different. Here is an excellent comparison, translated from the original German:

For my previous car I test drove the F10 550 and ended up buying the C7 3.0T - Remembering that test drive I feel like my current S6 would smoke the 550. I thought the Audi throttle was more responsive and handled better. The BMW felt heavy and seemed to have turbo lag. I feel like Audi way under reports their stats and another post on the forum confirmed that with a dyno run.
However, make sure your friend doesn't have some sneaky tune or make sure you get one just in case

If reaction times (on track) are even, the S6 should win fairly easily.
Both manufacturers under-rate their engines' power. S6's 4.0T puts out around 500 actual chp.
Tests show that S6 runs 12.1-12.4 in the 1/4 mile; 550i x-drive 12.6-12.8.
