Awesome, I love how the boost modulates into the second gear shift, and is pegged after that. I assume that's the APR tune protecting the trans?

Do you have the Heads Up Display option? I thought lap timer was only available with the HUD installed...

I do have HUD. Also cool feature is you get a shift bar that goes green to red as you move towards red line. I am not sure if lap timer is only available if you have HUD... The main feature of lap timer is in the display (not HUD). Seems that this feature would be for both HUD and non-HUD options.

I can confirm that you don't need the HUD to activate the Lap Timer function.

AWESOME!!! That's the best news I've heard! If I ask my dealer to enable it, will it throw a flag (TD1?)? Or only if done with a VAGCOM? Just curious.

Next question, is there anyone in northern NJ with a VAGCOM willing to do this for me?

No, only an ECU tune will cause a TD1 flag.
