Thanks DeerHunter...With the recall process starting in China along with your comforting comments about gonorrhea I think I will move forward with my S6 order now.

The experience will be worth the disease. Anyone mind if I drive your S6 for this weekend. I promise that what I have is not contagious.

Started my 2013 Estoril Blue this morning in my garage, took a while to turn over (unusual), then after the car started, a VERY strong scent of gas. Turned off the car immediately, and looked around the car. There was a puddle of gas beneath my car. I called Audi roadside assistance and having it towed to the dealer.

I have about 12000 miles on my S6, which I bought last November. So glad the leak didn't happen with my infant daughter in the car while the engine was hot. This is my wife's daily driver, and needless to say she wants to get rid of the car ASAP.

So I guess that makes it 7 known 2013 cases?

Not 100% sure I won't get one very soon, but it is the 1 (and only) reason I wouldn't proceed with getting one right now versus waiting until the later 2014 models, when hopefully the problem is resolved.

Vehicles produced after August 2, 2013 have the revised fuel line.

Where did you get this info ? I am concerned cause my car is due to arrive within the next 2 weeks. Has AOA officially announced this or a recall ?

From China recall article. Recall has also been issued in Australia and Canada. US owners will be getting letters in the near future.

For whatever it's worth....In addition to the China recall letter, I received confirmation from my dealer that this is actually the case. On that basis, after considerable thought, I have decided to proceed with my S6 order.

Last week I called my dealer. They checked my VIN # and said my car is not one with the fuel line problem. I took delivery of my car a year ago September. It was built in August 2012. I hope they're right.
