Default 2016 Sports Exhaust Video

Ran this morning with the gopro on. It will only sound better with time.

I am beginning to think this option should not be optional.

Default Interesting Tidbit

Pre 2016 and maybe 2016 without the sports exhaust has a butterfly valve on each side to go between loud and soft.

On the 2016 with sports exhaust - there is only a butterfly valve on the outboard passenger side. Both outlets on the driver's side are open all the time.

Still haven't figured out if there is a shared x-pipe or not. Need to get under the car.

Honestly for a S6 that should be the stock exhaust. Sounds pretty good.

That IS interesting. I wonder if they determined only one butterfly is needed for 4-cylinder mode.
Any chance you have a buddy with a pre-2016 S6 and you could do the same video?

That sounds great Stillwater. Thank you.

So when does that valve on the 2016's close? i assumed it closed at least when in comfort. Maybe it does close when in 4 cylinder mode to create more back-pressure?

Does anyone know?

Yes I agree. The stock exhaust is a bit too subtle for my liking. I wish I had gotten the sports exhaust option.

I wonder if you can add the exhaust without doing the whole sports package or are there other differences like software?

How loud is it in the car at cruising speed?

Does anyone know if they will direct bolt up and/or be available for pre-2016 cars?
I'd love to put a factory sport exhaust on my 2013, as it's too quiet for my taste.
