Default Headlight Fogging - 2013 S6?

After my Audi S6 returned from it's new front S6 black optic replacement grill operation, I noticed that the drivers headlight cluster fogs on the inside of the lense during a car wash. This has never happened in the past. The condensation covered the entire inside of the lense.

Is this normal for these lights -- given I have never noticed this before...? Or did they break a seal and I need to get it serviced?

Thoughts?

This is not an uncommon issue in several models for some time. Audi has issued TSBs. This one is for the 2012 A6 but may apply to 2013s and the S6:

Argh. I am convinced this happened during install.

Oh well, will make an appointment.

I've seen some condensation on the inside of my headlight as well, but I read that it was normal as long as it goes away with the headlights on. It made sense to me because I figured the LED headlights are not sealed with the forced air cooling fams. Of course it is possible that a heat-sink is located in an unsealed portion and the rest is sealed, however I was hoping to avoid a trip to the dealer and it only happened once or twice...

Yes. There is a fan integrated in each LED headlight housing to mitigate the heat.

High-power LEDs need to be kept cool to protect the semiconducting medium from damage. Whereas an incandescent or HID can tolerate high heat.

LEDs do produce significantly less heat, however the heat that is produced must be drawn away from the LEDs themselves.

Thats when my lights fogged. Is this normal and I just didn't notice it earlier?
