New Valeo Ultimate Wipers Installed...however drivers side not laying flat?!
Got the wipers today..takes about 2 minutes to install..however the drivers side wiper doesnt even touch the windshield about 1/2 way through the stroke. Tried swapping the passenger side to the drivers side and same deal. Checked to make sure the wiper arm was nice and tight (capped nut). My Anco Winter I just took off lies flat just fine....Any ideas as these babies weren't cheap

Works fine on my wife's '96 A6. It looks to me like your wiper arm is much more curved than my wife's wiper arm. Her's is more parallel to the windshield.

Thx!
Thx..for the tip..I actually had to put more of a rainbow curve in it to get her to lie flat..but thanks for putting me on the right track. It was quite the "arm" wresting match..pun intended.
Thx Again

My DS Valeo fits perfectly, the PS however is another story. Same deal as the other guy, the last 1" of the blade does not touch the windshield. Next time I'll order just one for the DS and use the OEM for the PS.

Here you go Spanky...
I had the same problem when I installed my Valeos a while back. I also installed them on my wife's '01 A6 4.2. I did notce that my wife's newer car had more pressure on the wiper arm at the windshield. I pulled my wiper arm off the car and worked on the spring to increase the tension. A pair of pliers was used to bend the spring material and thus increase the tension. That spring material is very tough and it did require a hefty set of pliers and torque to get the job done. HTH.
