Mihnea in Cleveland
S-Heads and members of the Lunatic Audi Fringe
Fueling issues prevented the tuning of my car in Columbus, so I decided to catch Mihnea on Thursday in Cleveland. Before departing for Cleveland, the vehicle's fuel pressure was tested twice. The first time, by Fast Enough Performance in Lexington, Kentucky. Knowing that I was short on time, they checked the car first thing Tuesday morning, while I waited. Being a paranoid person and related to Murphy of Murphy's Law fame, I begged and borrowed another fuel pressure testing kit from a local Good Year Tire Center later that day. After double-checking, everything was fine.
With the fuel question resolved, at least in my mind, I had ECS-Tuning send me a new fuel filter and Samco "Michelin Man" hose, which the Columbus session guys strongly advised me to obtain.
Once in Cleveland we installed the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator. After installing the air/fuel meter and testing the car, we were pleasantly surprised that the car no longer ran lean.

On the cell phone is Rob E., owner of a clean black 93 S4 with RS2 Bits, Big brakes, HRSB, Six Speed Conversion, etc. He graciously threw me the keys so that could drive his ride. What can I say, the car started, stopped and accelarated well...The other motorist on 465E did have a chance :-).

The event was hosted by Dean B.', an Audi and Porsche enthusiast. Just can't say enough good things about Dean. Dean provided breakfast, lots of drinks(lemonade, ginger Ale, beer, Tea, water, etc), food, served as our parts gopher by driving all over Cleveland to gets parts, tools and assisted with installing parts.

Mihnea and Dean. 91 200 20V on the left. Dean's a man of many projects.

20V internals - The engine ran well with 194K, but Dean wants to trick it out a bit. Watch out Cleveland!

I am pleased with my cars performance; thus making the late nights, scratched knuckles and sleeping in the dog house worth it. For those participating in the upcoming tuning sessions, triple-check to ensure that everything is prepared. I encountered a few problems going from completely stock to RS2. The fuel filter, FPR, and Michelin Man hose were replaced. The OEM hose blew @ around 5000 RPM while accelerating in 5th, sounded like a semi blew a tire. I'd like to thank Dean again for hosting the session and Mihnea for his patience in tuning my vehicle. I am finished moding the S for now, well at least until the next Stromung GP. :-)

So do you live in Louisville or Lex.?
Reason I ask, is that we Nashvillians are attempting to get together soon. Love to have you join us if interested.
Nice pics, btw. Mihnea looks nothing like I envisioned. LOL.
