Default RC Engineering - injectors rec'd. Hmmmmmm

So got the injectors back today. Turns out RC Engineering completely reconditions the injectors. (aside from the flow test and cleaning) you get new O-rings, They replace the nozzle (i wasn't aware of this) and repaint the housing (this was news too). They looked BRAND NEW when i opened them, i almost thought they weren't the same injectors I sent them.
Regardless, i'm sure they work as tested, but unsure of the replaced tips seeing that the stock ones had a pit that flares out more. See pics below you'll see what i mean. Not sure if that would affect spray pattern?

Take a look, tell me what you think.

Interesting. I wouldn't think it would change the pattern..

Default Wondering the same thing. I got a rebuilt kit (nozzles, o-rings, gaskets, filter paskets) off ebay

and did mine. The nozzles in the kit are the same as the ones on your's except they're yellow. I too noticed the change, it's quite significant. I think if it did change them, it'd make the spray cone less wide. However, I don't know much about the injectors so can't say for sure. I guess you can tell us how they run.

Default Agreed - tips looks wrong for the spray pattern

Send them via email, give them a call.

I found the Bosch Inj data sheet on the internet before. That has the parameters for the spray cone.

Default It looks like the old tips "spray area" is recessed while the new ones aren't

IF this is the case then the tip wouldn't need to
be flared out.

Default Yep, RC Engineering has no experience with Bosch fuel injectors......(NOT). Phone them. Talk to them

I am sure that they will put your mind at ease. Its not like this is the first set of Bosch injectors that they have ever done.

And what was the angle of the spray cone? I bet the plastic in both cases is no where near the cone.
