That could backfire.
I've had two failures of that hose. The first time the hose was replaced with ordinary hose. Just about exactly one year later it failed, after leaving black rubber chunks throughout the cooling system.
The aeroquip hose installed the second time has held up fine for 2+ years. It's 3/8" ID, which is a very tight fit but with enough effort it will slide on.
