4-pin POS-equivalent connector for Coil Pack Conversions

This is the invoice for the parts. The connector is the "insulator". It says Volvo on it but its probably made by AMP (who won't sell directly to us, AFAIK). This is the key plug to all coil pack conversions be they 1.8t 115L or some other High Output coils with built-in POSs, e.g. the Chevy LS2 V8 coils.
As I posted before, it was supposed to be a perfect equivalent to the 4 pin end of the our OE POS units. It is. I need to find out where and in what year the connector is used so they can be scrounged from wreckers.
HTH somebody.

If you can find an AMP
part number on it, you can go to a place like Digi-Key who sells AMP connectors and look it up.
Same with the pins also. If you have the actual part number lookup is pretty easy.
Their online catalog is flaky, but they generally have the stuff if you can actually find it. You can also request a print catalog which is just as hard to use.<ul><li><a href="http://www.digikey.com">Digi-Key Electronic Parts</a></li></ul>

Ha. Ha. Been there, tried that. No go. No AMP numbers. Even when I had AMP numbers, AMP would ...
not sell to me if they had what I was looking for because it was "manufacturer's exclusive", i.e. proprietary to Audi (or, in this case, Volvo).

Got it
depending on the perseverance of the searcher you can usually find an equivalent part.
I used to work for a large national manufacturer and if we had to use the OEM part to fix a machine it might cost $40-50 for something simple like that. Trying to get the OEM part number was like pulling teeth. Once someone got it though we'd pass it along to all the engineers and then you could go to your local electronics outlet and buy it for like $1-2. Our markup was insane.
But it could be done with enough hard work.
