Project 95.5-2005.5 S6 upgrade- Audi Nav+ into a C4

Finally starting to make some progress on my 95.5 rebuild project. The theory is to take the 95.5 and update it along the lines of what the factory might have done if they were building it "2005.5". One major sub-project that is getting very close is retrofitting Nav+. It hasn't been particularly easy or pretty, but I just finished fitting all the major components into the stock console with some (but very little) room to spare.
I'm still trying to decide if I want to try to fit a lighter socket below the mirror control on the left side of the Nav+ (lighter socket w/Touareg flashlight shown in pic) It will just about fit, but since it's a 95.5 I already have a lighter socket in the front and retrofitted in the rear of the console, so I probably don't really need a third.
I just need to source some longer bolts to secure the CC head and make up 2 fill panels and it will be ready to go in the car. I'll hopefully be able to get it installed and get some pictures with it up and runnning in the next week or so if work doesn't get too crazy.

Mmm... I want the latest head unit, whatever it's called, with MMI

The latest is RNS-E (DVD-based)- the one I'm installing is RNS-D (CD-based)...(pic added)

An RNS-E (shown above) should be P&P electrically, but I'd have to modify the front panel to fit the C4 console along the lines of what I did to the RNS-D.
I'm using a D because I managed to find one to experiment with very inexpensively- otherwise, I probably never would have gotten this far, since I didn't want to shell out $6-$800 for something I knew I'd have to hack away at. Once I've got the RNS-D completely sorted out, I may sell this setup and upgrade to the RNS-E, but for now I'm darn happy to finally have any Nav+ sitting flush in a C4 console.
