Default Finally got around to doing the B7/S4 FogGrilleMod...

First of all, thanks to gtikid98 for his guidance and tips >>> Here's His Setup
One major difference with my mod versus gtikid98's is that I chose to leave the B7/S4 FogGrille "Cross-bar" in place.
My reasons; Continuity of the bar (removal of bar on the solid side is very difficult) & to simplify the mod (filling & repainting was not for me & I kinda like the OEM matte finish).
Check it out...

RS4 FogGrille vs. S4 FogGrille

Time to Snip-Away. I used some sharp wire cutters.

Seperated mesh grille from the RS4 FogGrilleFrame

Fine tuned trimming to fit B7/S4 FogGrilleFrame

Check for fitment on the backside

Fitment doesn't really have to be perfect but the mesh perimeter needs to be under the frame.

Time to Glue...
I used SuperGlueGelEpoxy

Here's my GlueJob...
Not perfectly clean but what's important is that you get as near to 100% surface to surface glue contact.

More importantly is that you don't get glue on the frontside. Or atleast, minimal.

Here's a comparsion of the FogGrille Styles:

Here's a daytime money shot...
DONE!!!

Well Guys, Just wanted to share my latest mod </CENTER>

Default How much are the RS4 inserts?

Love the mod and am planning to try it myself.

I have another off topic question. Do you like the EBC redstuff brakes? How have you been using them? Any track time? Less dust than stock? Do they have sensors? I also have ECS 2 piece rotors is that an issue?

Thanks and love what you have done so far.

Otis

Default Answers...

1. Cost?
$40/grille...
I got them at the dealer counter. Prolly cheaper elsewhere.
2. EBC RedStuff Pads?
I use them for strickly, street performance (no track time).
Yes, def. much less dust than stock w/elevated performance over stock.
Yes, they have sensors and that was a key factor for me.
ECS 2 piece rotors have served me very well.

Thanks for the props and I hope the above answers help you.
Later.
