Overall, i'm pretty happy after having a moment of buyers remorse. The ride is very similar to stock (running about 2/3rds of full on the dampers) but holy hell is handling improved - zero body roll in turns, turn in is immediate and much more precise, and you can actually throttle steer the car when pushing it hard out of a corner! (who knew?) Still need to play with the dampers a bit more.

As a note, I'm running 750 springs in the front and 1200's in the back.

My only gripe is that i had hoped the suspension would be able to ride a touch higher (odd request, i know) - this is a four season car for me, and it'd be nice to know i could go back to a near stock ride height if we have a particularly snowy winter. I'm currently at maximum height for the motorsports kit however. (see pics below for just how low the car is) You can raise the perches a touch beyond where they are, but the threads of the adjustment nut would start to be off the shock/perch. So, while i haven't had a chance to measure the actual drop, stasis's advertised minimum drop of 1/4th an inch to 3/4th of an inch may not be true. (again, i haven't actually measured off stock, so FWIW it could be right - just doesn't look it)

The build quality of all the stasis/ohlins/etc stuff is as you might expect, outstanding.

I had the install done by <a href="http://www.TyrolSport.com">TyrolSport</a> here in NYC. They are a truly outstanding shop - smart, knowledgeable guys all around, and I highly recommend them. Mike really was a pleasure to deal with. Also super easy to get to if you live/work in Manhattan as they're steps away from the L train. (20 min from union square) They took pics of the install process, and will be setting up a howto shortly. (will post as soon as i get it)

I also picked up a pair of champion RF62's recently (seen here). I'm not the first with the color combo, so I apologize to Audi Advocate for stealing his look - the deal was too good to pass up!! :-) And after all, Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Am slightly worried about lip protection, but looks good after driving on the worst roads in America for a few hours today.

Oddly, champion removed all the audi stuff from their website. I hope that doesn't mean they're not making the wheel anymore. (grumble)

I actually tried those wheels on my car prior to settling with the RG40's....the british racing black (if I remember that is what the color is) just didn't jive with the blue...but they look great on your car! Any reason you went with the 750lb springs in teh front as opposed to the 800lb?

Main reason for the softer spring rates is that it's really just a road car. I'm hoping to track the car a little bit next summer, but that's going to remain very rare. I originally wanted even softer springs, but jason over at stasis convinced me this would be the perfect setup for me. He's probably right.

Main reason for the coilovers was to fix the one major thing the car was missing - more neutral handling. Although brake pedal feel is also on the list. (grumble$$grumble)
