Motorklasse Titanium Exhaust review
One day I received a nice big brown box. After opening it up and removing tons of bubble wrap I discovered a very nice packaged Ti exhaust. The exhaust tips, mufflers and resonators had a protective film on them. The finish of the exhaust is perfect in my eyes. Upon inspection of the contents, everything is there...nice clamps and high temp sealant for the joints. I know you've probably heard about the weight of this thing but to truly appreciate this, you'll have to hold the exhaust in your hand to realize how freaking light this thing is. This kit weighed in at about 25 lbs for the complete setup as opposed to about 71.4lbs for the stock set up. I believe most aftermarket exhausts weigh in at about 15 pounds less, give or take 5 pounds, IMO a great way to drop weight on our heavy cars!

So after drooling over the exhaust for a few days I made an appointment with Four Star Motorsports, a Canadian Rally Racing shop that used to rally Audi, Subaru and now run a Suzuki after deciding that they did enough racing. Frank Sprongle took my car onto the dyno (Dyno Dynamics) for some base runs. The car had the following mods:
94 Octane gas
Milltek Catback resonated
Matrix CAI
ABT Carbon Fibre engine covers.....good for 20hp ;-)
We did about 4 base runs.
After that the exhaust was installed. Here are some pics from underneath the car.

The car was lowered to the ground and Frank fired up the S4 the first time with the new exhaust. Oh my god.....the sound was amazing. It is much more aggressive than the Milltek.

So the car went back onto the dyno to see what the outcome is:
After another 4 runs the max hp figure is the same. They were identical. The mid range lost a little torque....about 2-3FtLbs depending on the run. However after the hp peak at 6500RPMs the HP line died much faster off with the Milltek compared to the Motorklasse exhaust.

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/69946/dynoplot.jpg">
So I finally get to drive home after a long day. The exhaust note is just sweet. The sound is amazing. It is louder, more aggressive on the gas but once you cruise it is actually quieter.
I am very happy with the exhaust. The main thing for me was the weight savings. With that in mind I installed my Braille battery. The Braille battery weighs 11.5 lbs. The stock one weighs 49.4 lbs. This is another 37.9 lbs saving.

Wow... the car just lost about 84 lbs. in 3 days... I wish I could lose that much weight in a short period of time... maybe not ?
Now where was that chocolate bar? :-P

Alex

25 lbs. in the box? It's JUNK - take it off the car and send it to me ! ! !
Probably louder than I want, but I'll suffer.
Couple of ???s.....
Are you still running the stock DPs?
Did you make your own mount for the Braille?? Can't quite tell how the strap is mounted.
Niiiiiice.
