Poll: How many MPG's are you getting on your new Auto and 6 speed S4's?

18.5mpg for a 300 mile round trip from Portland to Bremmerton, WA with AutoX yesterday.
Obviously most of the mileage was the freeway trip to and from with 6 runs of AutoX yesterday afternoon.
Short term computer indicated 5-6mpg for the autoX runs.

I disagree - my old B5 S4 used to get around 20 for a similar trip with 7-8mpg on the track.
Do bear in mind we are discussing mileage that included an event with wide open throttle usage. I have participated in road track events with my old B5 S4 where I could burn well over half a tank of gas in one 35-40 minute lapping session.
In this case, the numbers have been creeping up as the miles on my car increase too - I am now at 1400 miles.

I am weighing my options whether to get an S4 Avant or not (pretty much the same color an options you have). Test drove an S4 sedan this past week and it just blew me away, however I need a little more space than what a sedan can offer me.
Gas mileage is important to me because I don't want to have to go to the gas station every 3 or 4 days! (I have a 40 mile mostly highway roundtrip commute to work).
How satisfied are you with your S4 Avant? I know this is very subjective, but do you think an A4 3.0 Avant or Allroad 2.7T will come close to the feeling you get from driving your S4?

I think both would be less from the performance angle, but almost equal from the standpoint of
creature comfort. The basics of the interior are shared in the examples cited and sizewise the A4 3.0 Avant is identical. You wouldn't have the recaros, but you would not be riding on ill fitting cloth seats either. A lot of the S4's appointments can be ordered on the A4 3.0 as well.
I do not have any personal experience with the AllRoad, but can't imagine it not comparing well here too.

Allroad vs. S4--comfort and mileage
We've owned an Allroad for 2 years and have now had the S4 for 3 weeks. Both are very comfortable cruisers, but I especially like the new Recardo seats in the S4--as does my wife. And I predict gas mileage to be comparable--or perhaps slightly better on the highway in the S4. On a 100 mile freeway drive last night, averaging 75 or so, I got about 20 mpg in the S4. On the same trip in the Allroad, mileage has been 19.6. Tank size is the same on both, I believe.
