Weight Distribution 62/38

MT spewed that near 50/50 crapola...
...which would only be achieved if the front half of the car was made of aluminum, the front half of the car's body panels were carbon fiber, and all of the underhood accessories were moved to the trunk.

It was from 100kmh...close to 62mph.
And was closer to 14 ft. worse. Probably due to the S4's extra 335lbs.

Summary of text in article
The S4 reacts quicker on the gas from 1500rpm,
and accelerates faster in most gears. With the
exception of a standing start and unless the M3 engine is in its sweet spot in the right gear.
The M3 needs to be revved to get the most out
of it. The S4 has more torque, is more dynamic
but does like to rev to the redline.
The M3 has a slight oversteer and feels more
like a sports car due to the lesser weight and the 19" wheels.
Both have excellent gear boxes. The brakes on
the S4 tend to fade when hot.
Basically in top performance the M3 has the
edge, the S4 has the throaty V8 sound as
a bonus. The testers expected more from the S4.

Sounds like the S4 Avant is worth its price, but
the M3 beats the S4 Sedan?

Translation of Hockenheim inset
At Hockenheim it is very clear that the S4 has
a "sport" problem.
The front heavy weight distribution causes
heavy understeer at the limit.
This costs time and cannot be compensated by the
extra traction coming out of the corners.
The comfortable suspension/ride causes more body
roll compared to the M3.
The car from Munchen feels like a fish in the
water at Hochenheim.
With clockwork precision, the M3 goes around the
track, similar to a German touring car, which
is what the M3 really is, plus it offers the
basics of a street car.
