Well, this is about as sad as it gets. Called up my Audi dealer to look at the progress of my car and it looks like it's been hit by the staggering V8 output and has been pushed back to Feb-April delivery.

Now granted, this really sucked so knowing that it's going to be that long, I simply with drew my deposit and took back what I had down. Apparently someone else had ordered an S4 up in seattle and was on a waiting list for all the options I had, so, they're getting my spot. Kinda sucks, but honestly, I can wait... or pick up a used B5 S4 in a while.

I'll still be an active poster here on the B6 S4 platform and I'll always be lurking around on AW.

Audi/VW really screwed the pooch on this one. I can't believe that they could misjudge/time the launch so bad as to have to entirely halt production of their shiney new model while motors go to the sister company's SUV. That just seems unforgiveably retarded to me.

I hope the few of you who have cars that snuck through don't have any major problems; sounds like engine parts are going to be a real bitch to come by for the next, oh, 7 months.

Sorry dude, but it looks like it's time to change the sig. Bummer. Save your would-be payments so your down payment can be that much bigger later, maybe? I think if I were in your shoes I'd open a new savings account called "S4"

Right now, I'm thinking of taking a '00 S4 StageII right off the bat. Getting everything upgraded and just have fun with it.

I'm really dissapointed with this and I hope that the engine stuff doesn't become a problem for Audi but man, I can't see myself waiting any longer. Oh well, that's just life sometimes.
