but today i got a max of 5 PSI (this was in 3rd or 4th gear over 4K RPMS). does this mean something might be wrong? i have no codes, and havent had any problems what-so-ever. the run is running smooth and perfect too.
so kinda curious why i am only seeing a max of around 5 PSI with the stock ECU?
any help would be appreciated...

You should be seeing ~11.5 psi peak. Better check your boost gauge if it's only showing 5psi max...
...and VAG it to make sure you have no DTCs...check your BPVs, TBB, all hoses and clamps, MAF, etc... You know the drill.
Hopefully it's just a bad boost gauge.

ok tell me this...
what do you see with the ABT chip? i do see about 18-19 PSI spikes...so i guess that seems to be accurate no?
my TBB seems to be good, and BPVs have made no crazy noises (yet), so dunno? honestly the car runs perfectly. but i cant get over 5-6 PSI in stock no matter how hard i floor it? again no DTCs either what-so-ever....
i am running a mechanical VDO boost gauge...so maybe i will have to have the installer look into it again...?

go to Module 01- Engine,
click on the lower left button Measured Blocks -08
type in the groups you want to log, here are some common ones
Torque (120), Boost (115), Air Flow (003).
click on Log, enter a file name to log to and hit start when ready, and done when uhh.. done
the output will be a file in CSV (comma seperated values) format, which should be importable by Excel or another spreadsheet
also if you have a friend he can read the values in realtime
also you can change vag com to capture data faster by checking out <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/843345.phtml">these instructions</a><ul><li><a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/tour/logging.html">http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/tour/logging.html</a</li></ul>

with the ABT chip in it...it feels fast as all hell!
of course once u take it out, the stock ECU feel too slow (of course). but otherwise, i am seeing those peaks of 18-20 PSI as well with the ABT chip.
so i guess it might be the VDO gauge? hmmm...
i will try to log some data too...its about time i learn...
