NEWS FLASH: AoA WILL void Warany if your car gets stolen!@!@!@!@!!@!!!!!!!!
just got off the phone with them.
they will void the warany if your car gets stolen if they are notified of that fact by you insurance Co.
here are the examples that the Rep. gave me:
1. car is stolen and totalled
2. car is stolen and engine or engine components need replacement due to abuse.
#1 I understand - no need for waranty if a car is totalled, BUT
#2 is the one that scares me the most, since all of our S4's get joyrided and abused.
I inquired about the thefts that are running rmapant, and the rep told me that "it's a very unfortunate occurance, but that is an issue that needs to be dealt with by local authorites and NOT Audi", she said that if we forwarded Audi thefts Statistics for our area that they'd be forwarded to the management offices for them to look into.

yea - one thing if i screw my car up on the track, but its DIFFERENT if some schmuck joyrides it
face it, generally we all take very good care of our cars, BUT theives just 100% abuse our cars.

Insurance should cover all theft related damage
In fact, my co worker had his jeep stolen, they beat the crap out of it and ripped the stereo out....ins. covered it.
why would a warranty cover it?

REPAIRS are covered, but what happens for ex. 5,000 miles down the road?
normally it's under waranty, BUT now whatever break is'nt covered!
insurance won't fix it because its 5,000 miles after the theft and they'll say that whatever broke is'nt related to the theft, and IF it is, you can't prove it.
so, basically - your screwed.
