Default Your sample rate is low

Check here to speed it up a bit <a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/tour/option_screen.html">Vag-Com options</a>

Also try doing the run in 3rd gear starting around 30mph, it will give more samples.

Default Here's a chart (I think). Actual boost is WAY low, no?

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/3954/115chart.jpg"></center><p>
And now it is consistently throwing 3 DTC's when I go more than 3/4 throttle.
Multiple misfires
Cyl 2 misfire
Cyl 5 misfire
But it still runs fine below 1 bar!

Default That's funky, does your boost guage match the ecu? that could be a bad boost sensor, or a leak.

I'm curious if the actual boost the ecu is reporting is correct.

It seems fine at first, then it just falls on its face... I suppose engine misfiring could cause the actual boost to drop since there isn't enough energy to spool the turbos... but the low sensed or actual boost could be causing the misfires...

Default Yes, the gauge shows a dramtic drop after it reaches 1 bar.

I don't think the misfires are the cause, more the effect, because it runs fine otherwise. Besides, when I check for misfires in blocks 15 and 16? at idle, everything loooks fine...no misfires. I'm really not looking forward to asking teh dealer to fix it. Don't have much faith in their abilities.

Default I suppose you could make an adapter to attach to the top of the Y-pipe and slowly pressurize your

intake system to 1 bar. Keep in mind that you will blow a little smoke after the procedure, apparently the pressure forces a little oil out of the exhaust side turbo shaft seal.

Very wierd, could you do another 3rd gear O2 sensor run with your new settings?

Thanks!

Default John, have you thought about borrowing a stock chip to see if it only happens at chipped boost?

I'm curious if it's only happening at the high boost levels.

Seems like it is a fuel delivery problem and it is leaning out at high boost. (But what do I know?)
