works pretty good according to the butt dyno.

you can also try the e-brake method:

hold car at 3000ish rpm in 1st gear, clutch right at the point where it wants to connect, and hold the ebrake to keep car from lurching.

when the light goes green, drop ebrake, drop clutch and go go go :)
