I read these forums several weeks ago following what I discovered to be a common problem - the turn signal/hazard switch continuing to make noise after the turn signal stock or emergency flasher button were released. The original noise sounded just like the turn signals, but very rapid and continuous.

I replaced the hazard switch thanks to the great descriptions given here. That switch lasted a few weeks before making a sound that can only be described as high pitched buzzing.

Back to Audi for a new $40 switch, which lasted about 3 minutes before starting the continuous rapid signal noise.
