They said it cranks fine but will not start. It's AWE stg 3 so I don't know if it's a cold start issue, weak battery, out of gas, or something else.
I'll be heading down there in the morning... what should I check first? Dammmit. :-/

Unplug the ecu and plug it back in. That seems to work pretty often......
Is there an engine in it? You could have been hustled. Make sure there isn't a 4 banger hyundai motor in that thing.

Try jumping it first. Then look for a big intake leak, then check the
programming. In my older cars if you put the chip in backwards this would happen. Not really possible on these cars, but maybe the ECU harness isn't properly seated, or a pin in the harness isn't making contact, or the pins are oxidized.
My old A4 had the GIAC soldered board and I had a bad solder joint, all sorts of kookyness occurred.
If that doesn't do it, put it back on the truck and send it to me. :-)

Good idea on the ECU. I called the prior owner & there was over 1/2 tank of gas
if it's out of gas they siphoned it out or drove the hell outta it. I'll be pissed if that is the case.

it'd be bad taste to pull a Nelson here
but I'll do it anyway
