The test showed a lot more than that. It doesn't have to be representative of a particular engine load, RPM, boost, etc. to be applicable. The same test, which analyzed how an IC stored and released heat, was run on two different ICs, and showed conclusively that one was better than the other.
This result will apply on a vehicle as well. The fact that cars that went from stock to IPP ICs and gained power should also indicate to you that these results are on the right track. Yes yes, you can cry "too many variables" till you're blue in the face, but to ignore the results we've seen from different tests is unreasonable.
