I was mistaken in my understanding of the goal of the test - I figured it would have something to do with practical intercooler performance.

You've managed to criticize most everything that was done.

So let's look at your suggestion for performing a test. Bolt both on your car then compare.

Ok, why don't you provide us a test plan that a person with average equipment found around the house or garage can perform. Tell me with some specificity how we're to control the variables that come into play, and how we execute your plan. You're complaining about what was done but have failed to offer solutions that somebody in the future could try to implement.

Additionally, you've offered no data supporting your claim that this test was "far removed from reality". If you're going to make a claim such as that I would hope you have some evidence to back it up.
