% for *absolute* temps (unlike most other units) dont make much sense, even in kelvin.

however, delta T is meaningful, so comparing pairs of delta Ts with % are meaningful.

hard to explain why, bottom line is that "temperature" is unlike many other units in that it doesn't measure an absolute amount of anything. only relative temperatures can be compared meaningfully.
