Possible to pull AWE headers W/O pulling motor?

Has anyone removed headers without pulling motor? I have cracked leaking headers - both sides- that need to be removed to send back to AWE for warranty replacement . Since AWE will not send replacements upfront I'm trying to do this in as frugal a manner as possible , IE keep time/labor charges to a minimum.

Re: cracked? you too ?
Has this been a frequent problem with the AWE headers?
My driver side is cracked at port one at the flange to the block. Passenger side not positive where yet but we can see the exhaust soot from leak. Plus the Swain Tech coating is flaking off badly.

Not trying to be a pain, but just curious why? It would seem that if the guy agrees to pay IF...
it's not a warranty issue (because I'm sure you guys don't want used headers back) then it wouldn't make a difference.
Just makes the guy's life a tiny bit easier. I'm not sure I see the downside for you guys to do it as a "core" charge.
