does work, kind of, given the right conditions. The Autospeed system in my experience is very finnicky about the temperatures. Today was a perfect example, it's blazing hot outside, 95F+ and when I come to a light the IC backside sensor rockets up to 120F+, but the temperature trigger on the box never lights? WTF. Some times it does, some times it doesn't. I have had the thing about three years now and I still haven't figured out why this happens. I returned my first control unit and had them send me a new one because I thought it was faulty.

As for the actual performance, I think a lot of people think it does great things, but none of those people have the system, or have tested it. I've run tests and not been able to show any benefit. I'm trying to come up with a test that will show that it helps. Think about that, if you have to try all sorts of tests to find one that shows the system cools your IC's, it probably ain't all it's cracked up to be.

To be fair, I have seen it work well. It will bring the IC temp down quickly, and practically to ambient temperatures, which is darn impressive. The problem is that it takes the right conditions to get that to happen. The system must spray for a while, and then you need to hold a decent speed to keep airflow up. If you're doing that, the IC's will be pretty effective without the sprayer.

Another thing, the gains I've seen were on the temps recorded at the back of the IC, not IAT. You'd think the two would correlate pretty well, but I haven't yet seen that. I won't outright say the thing doesn't work. One or two more tests that don't show any worthwhile gains and I will be saying that.
