Extinguishing the Pad Wear sensor light after Big Brake Kit..Doing it right- ->

After installing a Big Brake Kit you need to short out the wires for the pad wear sensors or the warning (aka vagina) light will fire up on the dash.

I did the ECS Tuning Stage III kit a few years ago and when doing the install my mechanic fuxored one of the wires...so I fabbed it a few times to get the light to go out, but after we installed the Stoptech's the wire finally gave out.

Here is the right way to short out the wires...

Cut the plug off the stock pads leaving about an inch plus of wire.. Strip the ends and twist the entire length together, including the stripped ends...

    Solder the twisted ends...

Fold the end over itself, slip on a piece of heat shrink tubing and shrink it...then put a dab of silicone in the end of the shrink wrap...

    Problem solved!!

Special thanks to ETA 4 SEC who responded to my call for a set of toasted donor stock pads. He got them to me in two days, no charge...and ate the shipping!! Cheers!!
