what exactly does it mean?
I understand that as the coolant enters the oil, it degrades the oil and any aluminum parts that would normally be lubricated (cam bearings) are wearing...excessively. I further understand that the coolant might be entering via a blown gasket, or a gap created by the warped head not seating correctly. So, it might be possible that I need new heads? Can the bottom of a warped head be milled flat? I'd think it could be done but only on the most minute of warp situations. If it's a gasket, is it as "easy" as changing the gasket? What kind of work is required to determine the source of the leak? Is it absolutely necessary that the motor be pulled to do this work...every one I speak with seems to think so... I am hoping for an inpromptu education...I don't know what I don't know..yet. ![]() My Wheel Repair NASA Style ** The Unofficial AW Buyer / Seller Feedback Thread ** The nOOb FAQ ~ LI-S4 Style |
