I have been running the Avalon/AutoSpeed IC Mister setup for a year or so. Once setup, it continues to work in the background as needed other then to require monitoring that it is on and receiving it's signals properly.
For those not familiar with it...it works like this... The unit consists of an independant ECU which utilizes the headlight washer pumps to spray a mist of water, or what-ever you have in your washer resevior, at the IC's under specific user defined circumstances. It taps into the Injector Duty Cycle, and monitors the temperture at the inter-cooler. Once user defined threshholds of temp delta and duty cycle are exceeded, the ecu trips the headlight wash pump to spray the mist on the face of the IC's reducing their temperature and hopefully the IAT's. I have it set to a snag under three-quarter throttle and a difference of 25 degrees between ambient and IC temp. Anyway...being one to not leave well enough alone, and wanting to hide the ecu, which has the status lights on it, I decided to mount the LEDS in the Stealth Display! ![]() ![]() Here is a small vid of the LED setup before it was integrated into the V1 Unit... The Red LED not illuminated is the Ambient Air Temp which by AutoSpeeds design, doesn't light up under 50 degrees F. I will post more pics and an updated video once I get it installed...and will replace the lat piece of trim once it is modded to accomodate the wires.. ![]() My Wheel Repair NASA Style ** The Unofficial AW Buyer / Seller Feedback Thread ** The nOOb FAQ ~ LI-S4 Style |
