you can go to AutoSpeed.com and purchase and read the articles...
You can check the Tech articles for the writeup that Don P. did. You can check out Flyboy's writeup I made some modifications to the ECU and the status indicators for easier viewing... The misters can be set up to spray manually as SchagenWagen did.. However the Intelligent IC Mister ECU is pretty slick. You have control of two variables...Injector Duty Cycle and the Temp Delta pre and post intercooler..literally infront of and behind the IC. When the user set spread between Ambient air temp and the temp in the IC fins is exceeded that system is tripped..when you then exceed the user set duty cycle as in a WOT run, the second system is tripped. If both bogeys are tripped the system will activate the mister pump. The inteligent part is that the sprayer somehow learns your driving patterns and will often keep the mister on longer or shorten than the exceeded duty cycle... It's all pretty cool. The kit is complete...longer hose for the IC Misters, nozzles, dual temp thermometer for setting the temps, all the connectors and wires and an installation book and CD. Intallation is pretty straight forward with the exception of tapping the injector for the duty cycle..that is a bit nerve racking. I added a manual over-ride which essentially runs the intelligetn mister as thought it were a manual system like SchagenWagens. Keep in mind you will empty your washer fluid resevoir in short order. In the summer a full tank lasts me about two weeks of normal driving or half a day of mountain twisties.. I filled it twice during the Cliffs of Insanity drive. This said, you can increase the temp spread and/or raise the duty cycle limits so that the ecu doesn't call for pump as often. It's all user defined. ![]() My Wheel Repair NASA Style ** The Unofficial AW Buyer / Seller Feedback Thread ** The nOOb FAQ ~ LI-S4 Style |
