% (Percent) Avants that were 6-Speed......Anyone know?
I took these production numbers off a thread on AZ, I don't know if they are correct but they look inline with what I have seen in the past. Anyone know the approximate % of Avants that were 6-speed VS. Tip.
Thats all.
Here are the u.s production numbers.
(source: scott edge, audi marketing at audi usa.)
body and year only, not color, sorry.
year: sedan + avant total
2000: 5647 + 25 = 5672
2001: 4770 + 1228 = 5998
2002: 642 + 198 = 840
total: 12,096 + 1451 = 13,547

Sweet!
I thought there were around 1500 or so S4 Avants made and shipped to the US. From your numbers it looks to be a bit less. I know this is a bad comparison but the # of Carrera GT's actually produced is somewhere less than 1500 as well.
Seems like the S4 Avant is truly one of the rarest of machines on the road in the US. IMO
