My ultimate garage is almost done (huge BWW).......
First off, a big thanks to WindyCityS4 for his help in planning this project and for his help installing things.
I recently purchased a new home and wanted to do something special in the garage. I spend time out there so I figured it should be nice. The home is 8 yrs old and the previous owner certainly didn't care much for the garage.

First, the horrible cabinets needed to come out. All the holes in the walls and ceiling needed to be patched and the chair rail needed to come out. A fresh coat of paint for the walls and ceiling were in order. The floor was repaired and coated with an epoxy/quartz mix in a color as close to Santorin as they had.

You can see, the coating was applied up to the drywall.

The expansion cut was repaired and filled with a flexible clear material.

It came out really nice!

Extra wheel storage was needed, and thanks to <a href="http://www.griotsgarage.com/index.jsp">Griot's Garage</a> they are safely stored.

A workbench was built from some cheap Home Depot stuff and some pegboard was added.

Tool storage was a must so some nice ball bearing roll aways were in order:

Climate control was next. There was already a nice heater in there but a window A/C unit was added to make those oil changes on a hot humid day more tolerable.

Lastly, preparation for a lift was needed my thrid bay garage door needed to be converted to a high lift door. The company that did this at my old home came out and did it again. You can see how the opener is mounted almost on the ceiling (which is ~12ft high) and how much higher the door rails are.

Finally, the lift will be installed this PM. Went with red this time, black was too boring.

Thanks again to those that responded to my first post some time back re: garage cabinets. I ended up using the Coleman brand from Lowes - they were pretty cheap and they look nice.
The flooring is <a href="http://www.armordillofloor.com/markets_01.htm">Colorblast500</a>.
The lift is from <a href="http://www.aresco.org">Aresco</a> - same place my last lift was from. They are really nice people there.
I'm ready to start wrenching now!

nice, very nice sir, about the floor...
you did the job yourself? there is so many epoxy covering for garage floor, why this one ?
I did mine using the regular Epoxyshield (home depot/lowes) it's been 6yrs now and it still look good, only some tire marks. I'm getting ready to redo it this fall, I was looking at the professional Epoxyshield... but this one looks great.
