Figured I'd do it once now for you, but it would get it's good use by others as well. Seems like there are very minimal screen shots of the programmer, and/or not much info out there, so here goes (on my website for future reference, linked below)...

APR's Home Programmer
This allows APR chip owners to download the newest software from APR's website and load it onto their ECU's in the convenience of their home. Also allows for easy addition of new features as they become available.

Here's a quick overview of the Home Programmer...
Connect the programmer to the chip:



Start up the software program and this is what you will see:



You will then want to click one of the 3 methods to obtain your license file. If you already have a working ECU and all you are doing is changing program slots, your security code, upgrading to new software, etc, then you can just grab your existing license file from your chip by clicking "EMCS". If you have purchased a new slot or option or similar, then you would have been provided with a new license file to enable these additions. In that case, click "File" to browse for the text file, or click "ClipBoard" if you've copied it to the clipboard (ie ctrl-c), such as from an email message. Once you successfully loaded your license file, the Home Programmer will update showing you your license stats:



You can then click on "Load" to load an APE File into the programmer. This is the file that contains the actually ECU programming, and all options. It's one file for a given ECU type, for a certain stage. It contains all octane programs. Once you've loaded in the APE file, the Home Programmer will update to show you a description of that file, it will populate the available slots with programs, and show you your available options:



Recall that your license file reflects how many slots you have purchased, but with the Home Programmer you can put whatever programs you want into each slot. For this particular APE, there are 6 programs available (91oct, 93oct, 100oct, 104oct, valet, & stock). I changed a few around as reflected here:



Using the Home Programmer, you can change your Security Lockout Code. If you have purchased AntiTheft, this will be the code for that as well. Recall that the Security Code is a way to keep others from changing any EMCS functions via your cruise control, where as AntiTheft is a feature that prohibits the car from starting. You can change the number of digits, as well as the value of those digits with the Home Programmer. Both changes can be seen below. I also enabled the Throttle Body Align and DTC Erase, which was available because it had been purchased, which was reflected in the license file. Also note the Anti-Theft mode was not purchased, and thus not available to be enabled:



Once you have set up everything how you want, you click the "Start" button and the Programming Progress will be displayed in the bar graph at the bottom of the Home Programmer window. You can change the COM Port if needed by using the up/down arrows near to the Start button.

Also, you can change the "# of Slots". Typically users would not do this because they would want to use all that they have paid for. One use for this might to just put the Stock mode in Slot #1, and set the number of slots to be just one. If you were letting someone use your car and wanted to keep them in just that mode, that's one way you could do that. There are other ways as well, including the Security Lockout, and thus in my opinion most users never change the "# of Slots" value.
