Default FATS: I'll probably get laughed at, but here's my 1st FATS run ever....

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/41218/s4_fats_2005-03-24.jpg"></center><p>on my stock car from a few days ago...

Ambient temperature: ~5 C (~41 F)
Elevation of Calgary: 1139 m (3737 ft)

I've read that stock S4 should do low to mid 7s, well mine did 7.02 seconds, pretty quick I thought.

Like I said my car is stock, with a 2 weeks old remanufactured Hitachi MAF, one new 710B BPV and new crankcase breather hoses.

I'm rolling on some 16x6.5 Audi winter rims with 205/55-16 winter tires, they are lighter than stock Avus so that might have helped a little on the time.

I do noticed that the MAF only got to 209 g/s, which is a bit below the usual ~220 g/s I read about. I think it's due to my elevation, comments?

Also do the readings on my graph look ok? Thanks!

Pretty good for the conditions, elevation, etc. No laughing here.

Ok... (I know I'm a noob)... What does FATS stand for, and how do you create a graph like that?

Agreed. At sea level I think mid 6's are normal, so 7.02s at that height is A-ok.

Default FATS = For the Advancement of The S4

You need to get a VAG-COM or other equivalent diagnostic software and do some data logging. Standard FATS run is from 4200 - 6500 rpm in 3 gear.

Below is a post by S4MadMan from a while ago...<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1739846.phtml">FATS Calc 101</a></li></ul>

Default If you rearrange the letters F-A-T-S, you come up with S-T-F-A.

This question gets asked every other day recently. Hit the search engine, type in FATS, limit the search to the B5 S4 forum, and I'm sure you'll find it.

Default I think that comeback died along time ago with the AW search engine.

According to the STFA:

-There has never been a post with the words "Turbo Timer" in it.

-There has never been a post with the word "Omori" in it.

-I haven't posted anything yet this month (including this message).

-Etc...etc...etc...

So to everyone who posts STFA to someone's question, I say leave them alone or STFU. Thanks.
