Default Just got my latest oil analysis report (Mobil 1 0W-40). 51k on the clock, 7875 on the oil.

I can't host it anywhere, so here are the relevant details:

Interval - 7875 miles, over 6 months (last interval was 7571 miles and just about 6 months; interval before that was 5500 miles, but I don't recall the duration)

Oil - M1 0W40 (1/2 quart make-up oil, mostly at the track)

Filter change? Yes (always changed, and always OEM filters)

Miscellaneous - 8 track days (all at Heartland Park Topeka, in case anyone's familiar with that track)

Comments from Blackstone:

"You keep adding miles to the oil change interval, and your engine hasn't noticed at all. Wear looks great and is still right around average levels for this type of Audi engine. Bearing wear is better than average (lead is at 0 ppm! Wow!). No fuel, moisture, or anti-freeze found in this sample. Insolubles were normal at 0.4%, showing good oil filtration and complete combustion. Silicon was low at 8 ppm, showing no problems at the air filtration/induction system. Looks great! Add another track day or two (or 1,500 miles) for the next sample."

So what does that mean? We can change our oil every 8,000 miles instead of every 6,000?

Is this with stock chip or X? Are there any noticable differences when running either chip?

Default This one is all stock chip. Previous ones had some X in them as well.

I don't think that there's a difference in regard to the oil, honestly.

If you're running a quality synthetic, I think that's exactly what it means.
