I want the coolant going through the turbo's to get the heat out of the oil so it won't coke. I don't really care if reduces heat soak or not.

The oil temp sensor for VAG isn't anywhere near the oil in the turbo after shutdown. Since I don't know how hot the oil is at the turbo's I want coolant going through it to make sure to carry some of the heat away. This is the ONLY reason that I wanted this done.

I just recorded the temps so I could ensure it was working. I was suprised that it reduced heat soak at all. But that's not really the point. I'm sure if I had been in the turbo's I could actually watch the coolant temp increase more.

BTW, the after-run circuit shut off at around 8-9 minutes, when the coolant temp dropped under 93C.

In spite of dealers; I still love Audi :-)
